Seventeen Grands Prix later, the 2026 season already has a clear story: a new generation at the front. Kimi Antonelli, who debuted last year, has won almost half of the races run, Russell has shared the poles with him and winners from other teams —Norris, Verstappen, Hamilton and Leclerc— have appeared in streaks. This story gathers, with Formuradar's own data, who won and who started from pole at every race.
The figures come from our database, fed by Jolpica/Ergast. The table runs up to the Singapore GP (round 17); the six remaining races, from the United States to Abu Dhabi, are still to be run.

Antonelli, the season's winner
Antonelli has won 8 races: China, Japan, Miami, Canada, Monaco, Belgium, Italy and Spain (Madrid). He also has 6 poles, the most on the grid. His team-mate Russell, with 3 wins (Australia, Austria and Azerbaijan) and 5 poles, is his most direct rival inside Mercedes.
Those who have broken the dominance
Lando Norris won in Hungary and the Netherlands, both from pole, and in Madrid started first although he did not win. Max Verstappen has won the last two races, Malaysia (Sepang) and Singapore, both also from pole. Hamilton won in Barcelona, which according to Britannica was his first victory with Ferrari, and Leclerc at Silverstone.
How much is pole worth? 12 out of 17
In 12 of the 17 races the pole-sitter won, 70%. The five exceptions are Canada (Russell pole, Antonelli won), Barcelona (Russell pole, Hamilton won), Britain (Antonelli pole, Leclerc won), Italy (Gasly pole, Antonelli won) and Spain (Norris pole, Antonelli won). Gasly's pole at Monza was the only one by a driver not from Mercedes, McLaren or Red Bull.
